December and January
December was quite a strange month, the usual rush of nativity plays, handmade cards and gifts for the children to take home, culminating in the last day of school which always seems to end before it feels it has begun.
On the subject of rushing, I must have been, when I tripped over seemingly nothing and twisted my ankle, culminating in a small break and a big boot.
So as I near the end of January, I have found myself happy to be allowed to finally drive again, but frustrated by the feeling that things might not be 'normal' for a while yet. I was succesful in getting a ballot ticket for Snowdonia Marathon in October, but perhaps it'll be even more difficult than I anticipated when I will be building strength too.
A chance school project, has brought me to drawing and painting some mandala like patterns which have been a chance to think while I've been making, something I rarely find the time for and something that has helped my frustrated mind.
