Orinoco Flow

New linoprint...inspired by a photograph taken last autumn in Llanberis.  I took a series of photographs of ducks on the lake.  They've sat on my phone, but I knew that eventually time would allow to experiment with a reduction print.

I'm not really one that spends a lot of time making plans for each colour and each cut and I'm not sure I will ever be like that.  I have a feeling that removing the possibility for suprises (good and bad) would make me love it less.  I think printmaking always has an element of the unknown, I suppose I just like to up the chances of that!

Not finished....I don't think, sometimes it takes a little while of looking at something to see if  it works or not.

and also something a bit different...a lovely commission, for a special birthday.
